Australian Industry ETI - Phase 1 Highlights Report

The Australian Industry Energy Transitions Initiative supports industry to accelerate action towards net zero emissions in five supply chains – steel, aluminium, liquified natural gas, other metals and chemicals. This month, the initiative wrapped up phase one: exploring the state-of-play for the sector, and identifying possibilities for transitions.

The good news is that phase one research shows existing and emerging technology solutions can address almost all emissions in the supply chains. How might we get there? By capitalising on low-carbon technologies, investing in the energy system, making affordable renewable electricity accessible and decarbonising energy operations and associated infrastructure.

The initiative is co-convened by ClimateWorks and Climate-KIC.
